SAI Global Cup Intercollegiate T20 Cricket will be organized from Wednesday at Siddharth Stadium Bhairahawa under the organization of Rupandehi Cricket Association. It was informed at a press conference on Tuesday that 20 private and community colleges of Rupandehi will participate in the competition.
Participating teams include Sai Global Academy A and B Team, Kashi Noble Academy Bhairawa, Lumbini Commerce Campus Butwal, New Horizon College Butwal, Lilaram Neupane Higher Secondary Bhairawa, Lumbini Engineering College Bhalwari, Butwal Model College Lakhanchowk, St. Joseph’s College Bhalwari, Shanti Sample Higher Secondary. Manigram, Nepathya College Manigram, Siddharth International College Butwal, Lumbini Budhist University Belwas, Horizon GBS Driver Toll, Kalika High School Butwal, CCT Butwal, Jessis High School Bhairahawa, Rammani Campus Manigram, Moonlight High School Bhairahawa and Greenplant High School Debdah.
In the competition, the winner will get Rs 40,000 and a trophy and the runner-up will get Rs 20,000 and a trophy. Similarly, Man of the Series will be awarded Rs 5,000, Best Batter and Best Bowler will be awarded Rs 2,500 and Man of the Match will be awarded Rs 1,000.
In addition, Hari Thapa, president of Rupandehi Cricket Association, said at the press conference that the best disciplined team will also be awarded.
The tournament in T20 format will be played at Siddharth Stadium twice a day. Sai Global Academy is the main sponsor of the competition. Managing Director of Sai Global Academy, Moti Paudel, said that in the past, they have been organizing the district-level Sai Global Cup cricket themselves, so this time they have collaborated with District Cricket Association Rupandehi as the main sponsor. The press conference was conducted by Sanjay Gurung, secretary of the association.

The tournament coordinator Bijay Singh Gyawali said that the opening match of the competition will be between Sai Global Academy A team and New Horizon College Butwal at 9 am. The competition will be inaugurated by Krishna Prasad Sharma, president of Industry and Commerce Federation of Lumbini Province.
